# Introduction

> Welcome to the documentation portal for Debitdirect.

Debitdirect is a platform that allows you to integrate direct debit functionality directly into your application. Our offering allows you to employ payments using mandates supported by Mastercard schemes - [Betalingsservice B2C](/schemes/betalingsservice/betalingsservice) and [Leverandørservice B2B](/schemes/leverandorservice/leverandorservice).

> Directdebit is an automated payment method where an organization deducts funds directly from your bank account for recurring bills or subscriptions.

Whether you are a Corporate customer handling one account or you are a Software vendor handling accounts on behalf of Corporate, the platform provide the necessary functionality to schedule, issue and handle payments.

Our developer portal gives you instant access to get started in a matter of minutes. Before you get started, we suggest you read the information about our platform — or if you want to jump in and start building straight away, head to the Getting started page.
